Just as the Gulf has its oil, Egypt and Morocco as well as other northern African countries have sun and wind in abundance - but virtually untapped. Now these northern African nations have plans to invest in the development of renewable energy sources with a view to supplying "green power" to Europe. The technology needed to do it is all there. Europe is to provide expertise in the construction of wind farms and solar power plants, and in return, the northern African countries can supply "green energy", taking care of some of their own energy needs at the same time.
